Geography of Turkey
Turkey is a Eurasian country located mainly in the Anatolian peninsula in Asia Minor,
with a small portion of its territory located in the Balkan region of Southeast Europe. Turkey borders eight
countries: Bulgaria to the northwest; Greece to the west; To the northeast, Georgia, Armenia and the Nakhichevan exclave of Azerbaijan;
Iran to the east; and Iraq and Syria to the southeast. Furthermore,
it borders the Black Sea to the north; the Aegean and Marmara Seas to the west and the Mediterranean Sea to the south.
